Retrolife is an offline game. You do not need an account, and the game does not ask for your name, email, location, contacts, photos or microphone.
What is stored on your device. Your lives, family tree, album and settings are saved on your iPhone. If iCloud is turned on, a copy is kept in your private iCloud key-value storage so you can continue on another device; we cannot read it.
Analytics. To understand how the game is played we collect anonymous gameplay events (for example “a life started”, “a year passed”, “a choice was made”) with Amplitude. They are linked to a random install identifier, not to you. We do not collect your location or IP-based location. This data is not used for advertising and is not sold.
Crash reports and push messages. If the game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics (Google) receives a technical crash report with the same anonymous identifier. Gameplay events also go to Firebase Analytics (Google) to measure which of our ads bring players; no advertising identifier (IDFA) is collected. If you allow notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging stores a push token so we can send occasional news about the game; you can turn notifications off in iOS Settings at any time.
Purchases. Purchases go through Apple. RevenueCat processes the receipt to unlock Premium; it receives the anonymous identifier and the purchase details, never your payment data.
Game Center. If you are signed in, achievements are reported to Apple Game Center under your Game Center profile.
This website. retrolife.games has no accounts, no analytics and no advertising cookies. It remembers only whether you turned the music on (in your browser’s local storage). The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes technical request data (such as IP address) to deliver and protect it.
Children. The game is rated 13+ and is not directed at children under 13.
Your choices. You can turn off reminders in Settings, and delete all data by deleting the app (and the iCloud data in iOS Settings → iCloud). Questions: hello@retrolife.games.
